I work for a very large tech Company and they have been laying off an average of 10 people per week since 08. Some hirings but mostly layoffs.

The private sector is sitting pretty as far as profits and have hoarded awa between $1-2 TRILLION in cash on hand.
They have absolutely ZERO incentive to create jobs because they now know that even if they mismanage their companies to near collapse, they can always fall back on huge government bailouts which our idiots in office will gladly hand over because they dont want to be accused of being responsible for mass layoffs, which the companies get away with anyway.
