Default How far is Fresno from a good beach?

It doesn't look like there are any good routes directly from Fresno to the coast. So how far is the nearest good beach from that area?

Cayucos along with some of the areas on Monterey Bay are about 10 to 20 miles closer than Avila. After that, Avila and Santa Cruz are both about the same distance away from Fresno. Depends upon the beach experience you want.

Moss Landing beach. Mouth of the Salinas River.

You can go swimming & wind surfing in the San Luis Reservoir O'Neill Forebay. At least you could.

Moss Landing a good beach? It is always frigid there. I'd say the closest good beaches from Fresno are either Santa Cruz or Pismo.

Depends on if you think the beaches north of Santa Barbara are good or not

Plenty of cow crap coming down the slough from the dairy farm too. I'd pass.
