CA also leads the states as far as the most in the Top 500 but I found it interesting that the Golden State had such a high proportion of the Top 100.

sometimes I wonder why some people are so addicted to reading charts and surveys. We all know the "top" today might be the bottom tomorrow.

Well given the fact that California is the largest by population state in the US and larger than most countries around the World by default its going to place high in most numbers driven surveys. However, when the actual "Statistical analysis" is broken down it becomes apparent that the only thing "Golden" about California's economic, social and political climates is the effluent streaming forth from the State Capitol on a daily basis.
