Actually there are multiple reasons why the politicians want illegal immigration. One being cheap labor but this is an older issue and reason which is less relevant these days. Another reason is the politicians want to stay in power and they are pandering for the large Hispanic vote. This is also an known tactic and goes back years but there is a new issue to open the flood gates for illegal immigration. It ties into what we are seeing today with the economic crisis which is world wide. If you served in the military and went through basic training, understand the purpose of basic training, you would know where I'm going with this.

This bill gives much more than "whatever is left over after LEGAL residents apply." There are fee (tuition) waivers, other subsidies, and discretionary Board of Governors' decisions.
