So hard to pick one. In no particular order:

Lagunitas
Ballast Point
Anchor
Sierra Nevada
Stone
North Coast
Russian River

Maybe I like Lagunitas best, i dunno.

And neither of them are CA micro breweries.

Besides Russian River Brewing up north you can't forget another American stalwart on the microbrew scene: Port Brewing/Lost Abbey. Their whole lineup from their Hop-15 to their Red Barn Ale is so distinctive yet quaffable.

Also mad props to Green Flash Brewing and Alpine Beer for bringing that super hoppy Cali style to the table.

Kevin's new brand is Tioga-Sequoia Brewing. It is not a brew pub, but a bottled brand.

Kevin has come up with good recipes over the years and this new label is no different, in some ways better I think than Sequoia.

Some videos of brewing and bottling at the new plant
TiogaSequoiaBrewing's Channel - YouTube

After having the work done the first few years thru contract breweries to build the brand, he opened his own plant and bottling line this year in downtown Fresno near the baseball stadium. With the recent California law change he plans to open a tasting room, but this summer he held a few pre-game beer gardens next to the plant.

I'm also a huge fan of Anderson Valley brewing and Nectar Ales in nor cal.

Out of San Diego, the Alesmith Nautical Nut Brown is one of the best beers I've ever tasted. Tough to find though...

I can never find anywhere with Linden on tap, supposedly they don't bottle anything and only provide kegs to bars to keep on tap. Ben n' Nicks is advertised as having it but they don't last time I checked.

Chop Bar always does. Beer Revolution does pretty regularly. Homeroom has a special blend. Boot and Shoe typically does.

Chop Bar is a guarantee. They are buddies. Chop Bar hosts their pig roasts there.
