Should this be a survey?
a) all the "angry" people have left or are busy preparing to leave?
b) Californians are so broke now they can't afford to be angry?
c) Californians now vent on the C D forum and it calms them down?
d) all the above?
e) it's a lie promulgated by the ultra-liberal left-wing socialist conspiracy to hide the reality that is going to take us all by storm in the coming months and choke, maim, burn, and ravage everyone so that our wills are broken even if any remain alive and then the conspirators (led by Brown and Obama) can swoop in and take full control, subjecting all to a life of servitude in chains?
f) we are entering the true "Age of Aquarius" and, as it is only fitting it should start and spread outward from California, we will soon see the return of Free Love on Haight Street spreading quickly to Oakland and then beyond?
g) the smoke from the State of Jefferson has been drifting south and we're all just feeling a little too laid back to fight ... got the munchies instead?

Video games, internet and zillions of forums fight violent crime as no FBI can by robbing one of "active" life hours and direct interactions with "environment". Being 5'5'', 300 lbs after all that sitting doesn't encourage violent crime either.

Many potential violent criminals have left the state due to the same things that drive other people out of California.

Eh?? I doubt that would be a reason, being that there is so much potential here, with there still being plenty of haves vs. have-nots available. And while down, California is not out, of that contest. And how interesting, when a thread mentions something positive about Los Angeles, there is so little interest. But then, maybe I spoke too soon. I'll check back here later....

This is, indeed, good news. I wonder what the numbers will look like for 2011, though. The homicide rate, while still low, has really spiked here in San Jose.

We're up to 32 homicides this year. Last year there were only 20 for the whole year:
