Hi Folks...

I had to rent a pick-up truck from home depot to pick up a shipment from Torrance. On my way back I was turning left from Normandie Ave to Artesia Blvd. on the yellow light as a large truck was blocking the light from my view, and I was very slow (15-20 miles/hour) as the asphalt was very bumpy. in about the middle of the large intersection the light turned red and immediatelly I saw the flash.

the camera caught me at the red X

Because this is my very first traffic violation, and I'm not sure what should I do ? would I get a ticket ? should I wait until home depot call me ? would they plead guilty on my behalf and then charge my credit card without giving me the opportunity to plea the ticket ? I understand that I didn't violate the red light as I was in the middle of the interestion, and unless I drove very slow, I would complete the turn before the red light. but they still have my photo.... any advise ?

If you were in the intersection when it turned red, you won't be issued a ticket.

And if you are, just contest it.

The cameras often take pictures when there is no violation. It will be screened later by a human being, and if your story is accurate they'll just delete the record and move on to the next suspected offender.

Just forget about it unless you receive some kind of notice. This happened to me too once, and I never received any ticket or notice.

Or if you receive a ticket because you entered the intersection before it was clear to turn and, thus, were blocking it on a red light, suck it up and pay the fine.

If it was a rental truck then you won't get a ticket ...
