As of the 2010 census the area had a total population of 14,687. Because of the large number of residents from one Mexican state the area is also known as Little Michoacan. The larger area including North Fair Oaks and adjacent parts of Redwood City has a large Latino population and is known locally as Little Mexico. It is one of the most distinctive cities on the entire Peninsula, as it is one out of only three cities (the others being East Palo Alto and Pescadero) that have a substantial Hispanic population (the parts of Redwood City adjoining North Fair Oaks have more in common with North Fair Oaks than the rest of Redwood City)."

This is the same neighborhood Nicky Diaz is from, you know, Meg Whitman's illegal maid.

Yeah, call me crazy, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he's probably illegal. Or of course I could use your logic and assume he's probably the CEO of some large company like IBM. Yeah, I wasn't born yesterday.
That's what I thought.

I never said the guy was a CEO of a large company. The point is, as you know, that you don't know -- but you think it's fine to make the assumption, even though there are legals who carry no ID and speak poor to no English -- or pretend to not speak English. You think it's fine because it casts illegals in further bad light to tell the story as you do. If you happen to be wrong, who cares? The goal is to heap as much disrepute on illegals as possible. Truth and justice don't matter when denigrating illegals for being -- well, illegal. For an upstanding birthright citizen such as yourself truth is optional because -- well, birthright gives you rights that those people haven't earned. They should have the integrity and morality to not cross our borders -- while you need not have honesty and integrity because you were born an American citizen.

imho it wont pass.
good post, imho eventually CA will have to come with grips with the fact that, if the federal gov wont do their job, (immigration control), the state must.

Actually yes I do have more honesty and integrity. I didn't sneak into their county illegal and drive around in a car with no insurance. I didn't run the red light and cause a wreck. I didn't run from the finical responsibility that was expected to pay for the damages by providing a bogus phone # and home address.

I have a license and insurance and if I didn't I wouldn't drive and if I caused an accident I would offer to pay for the damages. But in your warped view of the world good is bad, bad is good, up is down, black is white, etc. It sounds like an episode of the Twilight Zone.

Not sure what bankers have to do with illegal aliens driving? But anyway, two wrongs do not make a right. And what is the percentage of them in the field? 3%? Isn't that the number most commonly used? I don't care if they are taking care of nuke plants, it still doesn't give them a special right over the rest of us. If some think our laws are unjust then push for them to remove the laws for all of us. Giving some a free pass is wrong on all levels.

THAT'S the issue under discussion, the illegal alien angle is just a red herring to get the usual C-D crowd all riled up.
Jailed? Yes. Seized? Yes. I also have the right to come down and get the car. Just like the registered owner of the car the illegal was driving.

11-20 million "red herrings" do cause a stir don't they. Probably because of the sheer volume of them breaking laws here and there.

If that's the case, why does California still prohibit Latin American doctors from practicing in CA? Florida allows Latin American doctors to practice there.

California has no laws against doctors from Islamic countries practicing in the state (nor does any US state, nor should any US state). Yet CA is one of the states which still bans doctors from Spanish speaking countries in the Americas from practicing in the state, which is blatantly discriminatory in addition to being very anti-Latino.
