'Cause it's CA and out of touch with reality. But then again, Perry and reality are rather mutually exclusive.

Hmmmm....the poll surveyed 333 Republicans. Out of the entire state.

However, they didn't ask me, so the poll isn't right.

Personally I would vote for Herman Cain before both but the news and media is not giving him enough press and I don't think he could win in the end anyways. A lot of people are incapable of thinking for themselves regarding who to vote for. They vote for whoever the media puts in the front ie: Romney and Perry.

Out of Romney or Perry, definitely Perry.

When has a religious nutjob ever been in touch with reality?

I think most CA Republicans favor Romney because many CA Republicans are fiscal conservatives and business minded people, instead of the degenerate Christian nutjobs you find all over the Midwest and South.

A Black man winning the Republican ticket with another Black man in office? You got to be joking! Not in a day and age like this. The Republican party is becoming more venomous with each passing day.

Not much substance to the article linked in the OP...

I'd say that comparing Texans (and their support of Perry) vs. Californians and a less enthusiastic support for Perry, I'd say that Californians are a bit more irreligious than Texans, maybe enough so that Perry's religious identification (devout) might even play as a negative in California.

As a native Californian, that's what turns me off about Perry. I don't want religion coming into this. IMO it was Perry who started the whole thing, bringing his religion into it, and I'm assuming that he's telling his devout religious following that he wants them to support him because he's one of them.

So I object to Perry bringing in his religion. I hear Romney is a Mormon but he hasn't brought his religion into this. Perry played the religion card and Romney didn't. As a Californian that's why I'd prefer Romney over Perry.

Makes sense to me. I'm a moderate but lean a little to the right. Obama vs. Perry and I vote Obama. Obama vs. Romney and I vote Romney. Romney is a moderate. I think CA republicans are mostly moderate.

I think I'd vote for Alfred E. Neuman!

Bears a remarkable similarity to G-dub with Nobama's ears, what?
