So we should just open the floodgates and let Mexico completely take over California? If 10 million illegals is "beneficial" then 30 million would be even better, right?

What we could use (desperately) is fewer ignorant whiners with nothing but self interest ... and an equal measure of hard-working, committed, appreciative folks -- who are happy as clams to survive on a lot less than the whiners -- to replace them.

The poverty in the US is America's shame. Such a rich land, such greedy elites.

But how will the rich get richer without near-slave labor?
Cut the problem at the source - the extreme capitalism that runs in California's blood.

What Don said.

Your point is? What does this have to do with welfare brats? I have seen many fat people, illegals among them. My son is not overweight and he is to join the Air Force soon. As for fat, blame computers and computer gaming.

Nobody gets a reward for having a kids, the vast majority of support for children (in California and the nation as a whole) goes directly towards the children. That is, it provides heath care, food, education, etc. Low income families or individuals that have children, depending on the details, will receive some financial support but its almost entirely from federal programs and it rarely even pays all the costs incurred by the child.

Yes, such a reward, have a baby and incur $5,000 additional costs and get $4,000 in additional financial support.....

What to reduce low income births? Support free birth control, abortions and provide scientifically founded sexual education.
Birth control is readily available to the poor, abortions are as well, and we have had sex ed until we puke and it does nothing to slow this crisis. Cut off the freebies and maybe they will wake up. Better idea, bring back orphanages to take away the babies and children they abuse when they do keep them.

Yes, let's continue to extol the virtues of these criminals. The same could be said of drug dealers - they also massively serve and are contribute to the economy. But they're still criminals.

Not true, check the decline in teen pregnancy rates.

Cut off the freebies

Perhaps you could tell us what these "freebies" are, and the criteria for getting them. I am not familiar with them.
