I want to live in a safe, crime free suburb , far from the riff raff of the city. I was thinking about Redding but I hear there are a ton of illegals up there who get dropped off after their prison stint. How is Yreka?

I was going to say to the o.p. that unless he's really attached to California (and to his venomous attitudes about anyone who isn't christian and white), why not move to some town in the intermountain west?
