For one thing the Central Valley is a storage container for southern ca water. They build and grow industry. We store their water.

Excellent answer. The poster shows the disconnect of too many modern Americans, that someone would not automatically assume that lots of flat ground and available water means farms, is a sad thing.

Youve got to gain just a little perspective.....

This is the most fertile region and climate for ag in North America, perhaps even the world. It is and must remain that way.

Many reasons. But if everyone was willing to pay more for the food they eat, there wouldn't be so much poverty. Big Ag hiring illegal immigrants and pay under the minimum wage also need to be cracked down.

That doesn't happen. Illegals are paid just like legals, from minimum wage on up. They have with holdings just like everyone else.

The employers of Ag workers do not know who is legal and who is illegal. They all walk in the door with the same paperwork.

The market dictates prices, and wages. If one advocates government forcing companies to raise wages, that strikes me as odd. If one advocates companies forming a cartel to raise prices, I would find that odd too.
