Wow! Gorgeous photos. Don't be shy. If you have some more, I would love to see them.

This is historically what Fall in Southern Cal looks like. That pattern was broken starting with Fall 2010. Mind you, I'm not complaining.

Wildland fires up the wazoo

We've definitely got fire weather on the way between now and late next week. We'll have a serious Santa Ana over most the state which could result in 40 - 45kT winds in places. Watch out!

Think back, last year was the non-fire season year during a year of non-Summer. This year we're over halfway through another non-eventful October, traditionally the most active month for major wildland fires. Hope it stays that way.

"Feels" like autumn here in San Diego... crisp cool nights (except for the almost ever-present marine layers)

Elm trees in front yard have turned gold and are now shedding...

Its nice & cool today & abit windy. Big change compared to the past few or so days ago. Fall in so.ca has finally arrived. Dont forget fall backwards 1 hr on your clock this sunday (nov 6th). I think the govt should just let it be & no spring forward or fall backwards. Daylight savings time should just cease in the united states.

We'll be doing something similar later this month.
