It looks like fall has arrived in ca (such as fall is). Its 54 degrees & rainy here. I took a walk today in the rain (first time since last march) & it was nice. It was just drizzling so it was ok. This winter its predicted to be cool & dry. Its been like that for years....right ?

Last year was a rare non-fire season for So Cal. What are the odds of that repeating? One can usually set his watch by the regularity of those winds. So far this year, except for one short massive blow early in the year, zip zero nada.

The heat (as usual) will return by this weekend. It always does.

It was raining up here in Monterey today with incredible white puffy clouds and God beams bursting through hitting the ocean. Then when I arrived home from work I looked back through the rain and saw a double rainbow!

Fall is definately one of the most most beautiful times along the Central Coast with its varied weather patterns.

Went to the beach this weekend and it was sunny and warm. Today it rained lightly and felt more like Fall.

There is a weak system moving in right now. That said, a block has set up, with a persistent trough in the Eastern US, and general ridging dominating the West. After this current minor system the NWS are forecasting no more rain this month. Of course, YMMV, after all, as MtnSurfer notes, things are highly changeable this time of year and the forecast models are notoriously flaky during the transitional times of Fall and Spring.
