Default Long Beach

Hey All,

I am considering working for Boeing in Long Beach and I was wondering does anyone on these boards currently work for them or know anything about them? Also, how much would it be for a nice apartment in a nice area in Long Beach? Thanks.

My girlfriend's husband works for Boeing, he designs doors for the C-17's. For the last 10 years Boeing is always talking about closing down the C-17's. But, they're still getting contracts, and it looks like they'll be around for awhile at least.

I believe Boeing is Long Beach's largest company.

Are you looking for a one or two bedroom?? You can find a nice one bedroom for $900/month and up. Two bedrooms $1200 and up. The average would be $1400 and up - depending when you live.

Check out the zip codes 90803, (Belmont Shores, Naples and the lower Belmont Heights). 90814 and 90804 are also considered the Heights, with 90804 being more the "edge of the Heights". 90815 is considered Los Altos area, which is Cal State Long Beach (CSULB), and 90808 which is east of Boeing. 90802 is down town, many nice places, but be careful what you choose. I'd stay away from all other zip codes.

Best of luck.

Paula
