Not off hand. I know that when we hire junior Sys Admins here we usually bring them in from the local university as interns first. That's why I recommend starting with the schools and their relationships with companies.

If you do get an entry role in a Systems group you won't be doing advanced stuff right away typically. But the more you know the better chance you'll have of moving up quicker with more responsibility as you prove yourself. That initial experience is like a catch 22 situation sometimes. You need experience to get a job normally. So if you don't have it how do get started? Answer: Any way you can (legally of course).

I looked at CalPoly Pomona online and found a MCSA class for 2 grand. Got to save up some pennies or go flip burgers again.

Don't look in the want ads look at the websites of larger Corporations here and check out their programs and jobs listed for employees only. We hire interns that usually go full time after a short time.
