Default California Gets High Speed Rail Money Turned Back By Florida

High-speed rail funding rejected by Florida Gov. Rick Scott officially became California’s gain Tuesday as the Department of Transportation granted nearly $1 billion to the California High-Speed Rail Authority.

In February, Scott rejected about $2.4 billion from DOT for a $2.6 billion high-speed train line from Tampa to Orlando, declaring in April that the money should go back to taxpayers or be used for deficit reduction.

Send it to Virginia, they are extending the NE corridor to Richmond. That would actually make sense rather than feeding a Green pipedream here.

Dont worry. Eventually CA will reject the train and all the funds will be diverted to the NE.

This is all a political ploy by the Obama administration to secure more support from leftists CA since he thinks the Northeast is reliably in his back pocket.

I saw some interesting numbers: China, which is wiping the walls with US workers, invested $300 billion; France, $175 billion; and Vietnam, $56 billion. The US might invest $13 billion. Of course, according to many of our politicians, who now enjoy record-low approval ratings, it's not investing $13 billion but losing it.

Well that's of course because nobody thinks that the person they voted for is part of the problem. It's always everyone ELSE that's responsible for the waste and gridlock. And that's assuming we are talking about that whopping 20% turnout in the first place.
