Or do its people have big heads and small bodies? I don't know. There's 1 very good school UCSF, however, I think overall, San Francisco is a dud.

I doubt it's even fair to compare LA and SF. LA knows it is big and does everything accordingly. Here it is go big or go home...a legit world and mega city.

Haha, I hear ya although I think some would can't UCB as a part of the SF. I like the city and love it's uniqueness, I just find the people to be a little too PC sometimes but I run into those types out here too. I hate the weather though. All in All you're probably right that they shouldn't be compared, even though one can compare anything if they've experienced enough.

People bash Los Angeles all the time because they are envious that it is the only truly world-class city on the west coast. And this coming from someone who lives in SF (city proper too). Agree with a previous statement- both LA county and SF metro area are full of boring suburban sprawl with big houses. Only a few urban areas I like in each area -LA has Koreatown, Hollywood, Venice. SF has North Beach, Mission, Excelsior (just kidding!)

You can't beat the weather. The sheer number of gorgeous women. The diversified job market. Places like Koreatown or Hollywood are bustling with energy.

LA, without question. I find the atmosphere much more exciting and upbeat. The weather is also fantastic.

And by LA I don't just mean the downtown area itself (which is actually kinda crappy), I mean the entire area from the inland empire, to the coast, thousand oaks, and even down to orange county.

Here are the issues I have with Los Angeles

1.The sheer number of fake people - meaning people who moved to L.A. to pursue some career that involves them trying to be famous and people who get a lot of plastic surgery and overall don't really care about helping their neighbor out and they are really into material possesions and are just in general not nice to people they don't know very well.

2.Everything is so spread out / public transportation kinda sucks - I don't think I've rode on a worse public transportation system except for a few streets the bus service stops running around 1AM on a lot of streets, and the subway (metro rail) stops running around 1AM too and starts again at 5AM, it's really hard to get around in this town without a car and then when you do have a car you get parking tickets way too easily and it's always hard to find parking spots.

3.It doesn't feel like a city - After living in Seattle for almost a year the layout of Seattle is way more a city than Los Angeles, LA feels like a 3rd world country with an area that I'd say is like one fifth the city that's actually decent, the rest of the city is really ghetto like really ghetto.

So after all that I am thinking about moving to San Francisco. Has anyone else lived in Los Angeles and moved to San Francisco? Let me list a few things about SF that I've heard that make it hard for me to know if that's the right decision. I've only been in SF briefly and I felt people there actually cared that I was from Seattle and were overall really nice to me, I've heard it's more community based than everyone for themselves, I really enjoy making friends and looking out for people.

1.I've heard that people in SF are very opinionated and very PC so you have to be really PC all the time, some people have said that's its a different kind of fake that's worse than Los Angeles.

2.That it's way colder than Los Angeles

3.That the singles scene isn't really that good there and there's way better women in Los Angeles.

4.People I've met that grew up in SF and moved to LA say they love L.A. a lot more but people in SF who are visiting LA say they love SF way more.

Anyways feel free to add whatever you have to say. Should I move to SF or stay in LA?

You were the one that used the word 'natural' to begin with.

You said, "Women here are just naturally more beautiful than most places".

Sure. You're entitled to your opinion. It's cool to think that women in LA are 'naturally beautiful' if you want, but throwing around the term 'natural beauty' in a discussion about LA's women makes it clear that you don't understand what the word 'natural' means.

Apples vs. Oranges on one hand. Sprawl and traffic vs. Compaction and no parking spaces. Beyond that they're both crowded. They both smell bad. They're both frenetic and they're both expensive. The major difference is the weather.

What it ultimately comes down to is that southern California is a better package than northern California. So much more to offer-Chargers, Padres, Dodgers, Clippers, Lakers, L.A. Galaxy, L.A. Angels, L.A. Kings, beaches from Ventura to Ensenada, Orange County, Coachella, Temecula wine country, so much more going on.
