Default Japantown in CA?

I am interesting in taking Asian Studies at a college soon and I wantedto know if there was a Japanese populated area or a Japantown. A place with Japanese resturants, tea houses, mueseums and so on.

There's Little Tokyo in LA, and a larger Japanese area of San Francisco. SF probably has a higher population of Japanese and they are also probably retain more of their cultural heritage just due to the different natures of LA and SF.

Check out San Francisco Japantown for info on Japantown in San Francisco. There is also a Japanese tea garden in Golden Gate park.
