Californians are fleeing the state in record numbers thanks to decades of non-stop political correctness like this slowly chiseling away at our moral fabric - death by a thousand cuts. We hardly notice the latest outrage anymore. Decent jobs are evaporating, too. Our economy is strangled by so many regulations that only the deepest pockets can afford to deal with them. Those of us who don't live in a handful of coastal counties can't do anything but sit here and take it.

Fortunately, we have the deep sympathy of the Governor's office:

Nah, I'm not homosexual ... my gay friends refer to me as "hopelessly hetero" ... but clear as can be history shows that homosexuality has been around since forever ... quite out in the accepted open back in Greece and Rome in the "Golden Ages" of philosophy and the advance of art and civilization. Get used to it. The church tried to suppress for a few hundred years and that became a cultural smokescreen. Sure looks to me like those priests wanted it all behind their own closed doors ... Selfish characters in robes and outrageous costumes. If one didn't know better (?) one might think the church was the originator of "drag" ... no?

If you read the Bible you will notice that the reason why Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed was not because of homosexuality, but violence towards foreigners including but not limited to rape. The cause was inhospitality and xenophobia.

All that aside, why the hell is this a serious political touchstone in 2011? If God did not create homophobic paleo-conservatives, man would, if only for our amusement.

Depends on color ... white after Labor Day is, simply, sacrilege, as all civilized and pious people know ... despite the long natural indian summer of california, one must, in all good conscience, turn to beige and yellows at the least. It is understandable that black is too severe for September in California, but, really, pure white cotton/poly is a slap in the face of God who created the seasons (and cotton/poly blends).

I understand the intent of the law. Becuase gays have historically been portrayed as freaks (if they're portrayed at all), this is an attempt to show gays have contributed to history. Typically, the presumption is/was that everyone who contributed to the betterment of humanity was heterosexual. Sure, no one says that, but it's strongly implied.

That said, I don't like how the state forces this down everyone's throats in a time where we are lucky t people gratuating from high school can read, write, and do basic math. Just look at the abundant poor spelling and writing on the CD forums as proof of what I'm talking about.

We get it. It't not normal for YOU. But some of us are wired differently. Just as about 15% of the population is left handed, around 5% to 10% of the population is gay/bisexual. We didn't choose to be attracted to members of the same gender, just as you didn't choose to be attracted to members of the opposite gender.

I always find it funny that the people who object to homosexuality as being abnormal almost always cite 2 men having sex together as morally outrageous. That always seems to push people's emotional buttons more than 2 women having sex together.
