LOL what planet did you come from? You're talking about Black bears (Ursus Americanos), who often have brown or cinnamon coats in CA. "Black bear" species can have black, brown, reddish-blond or even white coat, such as Spirit bear. Grizzly is the same as "Brown bear" (Ursus Arctos) species, and mostly has browinsh coat. Grizzlies are much larger than Black bears. Grizzlies are extinct from CA and the last grizzly that was captured here is on CA flag.
When people go to Alaska to watch bears catching salmon, they go to watch grizzlies. The last grizzly was shot in CA in 1922.

"The bear on the current flag of California was modeled on the last wild Californian grizzly bear in captivity. The bear, named "Monarch", was captured in 1889 by newspaper reporter Allen Kelley, at the behest of William Randolph Hearst.[3] The bear was subsequently moved to Woodwards Gardens in San Francisco, and then to the zoo at Golden Gate Park. After the bear's death in 1911, it was mounted and preserved at the Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park."

This is Black bear, though it has white coat:

The only species of bear that inhabits California currently is the Black Bear.
I just saw a polar bear at the zoo.

There are an estimated 4000-6000 cougars in California and 25000-30000 black bears according to DFG biologists. Just how much impact could one single wolf or even a 100 wolves make?

Wolves were never common in California even in historical times. The now extinct Southern Rocky Mountain Wolf, Canis Lupus Youngi, was the subspecies found here. OR-7 is a descendant of C.L. Occidentalis, Mackenzie Valley Wolves brought from Canada in 1995. They are thought to be slightly larger than our original native wolves, but some wildlife biologists do not agree on this point, and say that all gray wolf subspecies are pretty much the same animal.

Even better if it went to Sacramento and feasted on our inept politicians.

This film clip was taken several years ago from the roadside in Yellowstone NP. The bear is young and small, perhaps a female recently on her own from her mother. A mature male grizzly is double the weight of the bear in the film, and would totally dominate four wolves. Male grizzlies rountinely take kills away from wolf packs.

Given there are 7 billion insane human beings now ravaging the planet in every respect: polluting and consuming at ridiculously unsustainable rates, throwing wars like parties, and conducting apocalyptic mayhem for apparent amusement -- uh, I think I'll root for a handful of wolves to go ahead and take a slice and a beer.

Mother nature will take care of things. My guess is that it will be some kind of deadly epidemics spreading like wildfire though, not just the wolf eating a governor... The root of the problem is the population that elects politicians, not the politicians.

Yeah, I know it's just a big grizzly cub... some learning experience for it
