I hope they reintroduce wolves to the Santa Monica mountains. We've got way too many deer, raccoons & obnoxious cyclists.

In what way are cyclists a problem for you?

Be real, even local US rangers will tell you they're the ones who pose a danger to lone hiker/camper.
These bloodthirsty, violent thugs should be banned.
They are one of the reasons why one needs to carry a loaded gun in these forests, for protection from them. I've seen enough of their hick inbred faces with killing thirst in their eyes.
These COWARDS mostly hunt with guns. "Since the beginning of time"--? I wanna see these COWARDS go against Grizzly (or any other large animal) without their wussy gun.
Since "life began" there were no human murderers walking and killing animals (and hikers) with firearms--this only had been for a couple of hundred years, not exactly since "life began"--before, they had to hunt with arrow and spear they made with own hands. I could at least respect this, as this was closer to "fair game" and this was about survival, not killing for fun. Most of those who hunt now, do it for the thrill of seeing a living being die, not for sustenance and survival.
Are you sure you ain't some kook vegan? Sure sound like one. I hunt, fish, hike and bike and I've never seen anyone remotely close to the situation you are trying to paint.

Good luck banning something over a third of Americans partake in.

Ain't gonna happen but it does give me satisfaction knowing some detest my behavior so much

Note no people were attacked.. "following" does not count IMO..

Dogs yes, dogs will go after the wolf, wolf will start to run, but then realize..."hey wait a minuet.... I am bigger" Then that is all she wrote for any dog stupid enough to pursue a wolf.

Saw it yesterday on the ice.. Dog chases wolf, dog called home, wolf comes back looking for dog.

It is my very strong opinion a wolf would much rather avoid any kind of contact with humans or the animals associated to us..

A wolf would be a poor choice for human population control.. Big cats do a much better job at that...

One of the areas I hunt is filthy with cats. One of the things on my short list is a night vision setup. A buddy had a cat kill a buck almost right under his stand while he watched. Not sure how a cat would handle someone stumbling onto a kill.

I seldom worry about cats, not being a woman jogger.

Remember, a cat is an ambush hunter. If you know it is there, you are safe, if it jumps out of an tree and bites the back of your neck, you aren't safe, either way, carrying a weapon may not work for a person.

A cat, will typically avoid a person, at least an adult male. I have some cat stories, and never felt the need to defend myself.

Although, I know of fatalities, generally an old sick, or very young cat will go after a human.

After seeing a presentation by Wildlife Services I now hang a bell on the girth of my horse, it rings constantly, and prevents surprising a cat.

Yep, biggest threat we have is the newly introduced Russian Boar.
