Hi All ,
I'm after a bit of help... my partner and I (+2 kids) are hoping to emigrate from Scotland to California, we're thinking Orange County? Saw/heard many mixed reviews but Irvine pops up a lot?
I guess at the moment we've literally millions of questions.....
firstly - how do we get a visa? so many websites offering so many different variations..
where is good to raise two children that would have good schools? activities at weekends etc (eldest is a good footballer and youngest loves to dance)
any inside info on house prices/cost of living?

Jobs too - we may want to work - my partner is a site manager (house builds) and I'm a learning & development manager.. both with lots of experience...

help help help and thank you thank you thank you!

Sx

You need the job first, that's the only way you'll get a work visa. Unfortunately, unemployment in California is a near-record levels (for the US anyways) and without valuable skills that can't be supplied locally, it's nearly impossible to get that visa.
