Carbon credit hamstringing, yeah that'll help dig us out of debt. It would be laughable if not just so stupid and tragic an idea.

"chem trails" meant something different back in college in the 80's

Back to the OP thread about C02 taxes. Even the charlatans who push global warming agree that this new CA tax will have no effect on global climate (even if you accept their lie that C02 is bad). The reduction in C02 resulting from this tax is miniscule compared to world wide C02 creation (including that caused by cows farting).

So why are we hell bent on doing this? To set an example? To lead the world? Why do we want to burden business and ourselves with a new tax that will accomplish nothing?

But it will accomplish something ... just not what the people think. All of the actions from Obama and Brown are designed to hamper business growth. Name one action they did that was pro business or actually created jobs? They say they are out to create jobs and promote capitalism but those are their words not their actions. Brown is in the pocket of the radical liberal agenda. That's why everything that Obama can't pass will get passed in California ... its planting the seed.

What you say is true. Obama and Brown benefit from misery. The more of us in trouble the more they can say that we need their help. They say we are unable to survive without picking our neighbors pockets.

I just have this stupid faith in people. I always think that the average guy wants what's right. How can the voters support yanking a billion dollars out of the California economy to be given to government? For nothing but to be able to boast that we are leading the fight against a nonexistent problem. Don't they think?

A infamous ruler once said: "What luck for rulers that men don't think". Google to see who it was. Hope he was wrong, but stuff like this carbon tax really leaves you wondering.

Here's a good article on the disaster called cap-and-trade:

Cap-and-Trade: California

If the libs benefit from misery they have hit a gold mine with this one.

Empirically Wrong.

So don when the Germans looked up in to the sky in 1944 and saw a thousand contrails over head from horizon to horizon generated by high flying B17s and B24, that was a government conspiracy to do something? And what was that something?
