Default Top 50 Places in the Western US by Average Household Income, 2010 Census

I had to use the Average instead of the Median because for median the Census Bureau doesnt disclose amounts over $249,999---its weird.

In any event, a "Place" could be a city, a town, a village or an unincorporated area that is referred to as a "Census Designated Place"(CDP).

Also, it could be 49, not 50.

Anyway, for those who are wondering, Beverly Hills' Average Family Income is $199,938 and ranks 18th in the LA Area.

Who the hell responds to census requests for voluntary, self-reported income data???

Only income data that matters is IRS data...and even that is lumpy...and often filed in different locales than primary residence of filer...

Most stats are junk of negative/often deceptive value to anyone w/common sense understanding of basic income/net worth calcs....which any smart 8yo would understand many yrs before any Stats 101 course...it's neither higher math nor finance...

Nah, there is no reason to not believe the data.

Unfortunately the IRS does NOT release data by city, only zip code so it doesnt help me with my list which is of cities. SORRY.

Also lighten up. Your faves Woodside and Malibu did just swell.

Glenbrook actually is not in the Sierra Nevada Range, as it is on the east shore of Lake Tahoe, it is in the Carson Range, a whole different horst, in the state of Nevada. An enclave of the wealth powerbrokers of Nevada.

Hey! Some respect, please. It is metal -- not cardboard.
And, it IS waterfront, after all ... not snooty enough for you?
Isn't that everybody's dream? Waterfront living?
