The cops say they had to arrest the other cop right away. I dont know the full truthful story so ill hold judgement until then.
The cop that was killed by his fellow cop did draw first. He had no choice (so they say).

Santa Maria Police. The officer who was killed was to be arrrested for sex with an underage girl. He was married.
He at the time was manning a DUI check point with other officers when the supervisors arrives to arrest him.
He chose to physically fight the arresting officers, pulled his gun, fired one shot, one of the DUI check point officers fearing for officer safety shot him.

No winners in this one. A wife has lost her husband who apparently was cheating on her.
The young girl was probably emotionally connected to the officer and probably feels pretty bad, a rapid jerk into reality.

A sad and tragic case.

I just find it a bit odd that they decided to arrest him at 1:00 am while he was on duty.

According to the Chief, information came to light about witness intimidation, the decision was to take him off the street immediately. The officer who shot him was his best friend.

Yep. And people would be complaining, had they let him go and arrested him later. Especially had he killed someone or caused a long standoff.

HE caused his demise. Just like any and all suspects. The SUSPECT decides how much force is used. Nt the police.

Screw him. He didn't want to go to jail and fought? He got what he deserved...

He was having sexual relations with a 17 yr old girl. According to ca law shes a minor. The moral of the story is dont mess with minors cause you're going to get burned. The girl told the cops everything & i guess the now deceased cop was intimidating her so she told on him. Chances are very high that the cop would of been fired & possibly done jail time & have to register as a sex offender even if it was consensual sex. He should of waited till the teen turned 18. In highland, ca 2 highland cops had sex with a trampy 16 yr old explorer & both cops lost their jobs but no jail time or having to be on the sex offenders list. I guess the santa maria cop panicked.

Its bad enough cops are killing & harassing innocent people (fullerton, los angeles, colton, etc), now they are killing their own.

I forgot long beach where those 2 idiot cops shot & killed a drunk man sitting on his porch holding a water faucet. The cops werent charged cause the district attorney said it was justified. They shot him 20xs. Men like this shouldnt be cops.

what does that have to do with your original topic? Or did you simply make this topic to bash law enforcement has you have done so many times on this forum.
