OK I will give you that... Germany needs the mediterranean countries to keep the Euro low, so their exports are competitive..... Yes it hurts those countries...BUT they wanted to join the euro to get the benefits but do not want to belly up to the bar and pay the price...

Why did Tiger woods move to Florida???? I have no clue... You are lucky I even know who Tiger woods is...

"Innovative thinking". That's a new slant. But word fantasy is a hobby of the left.

Perhaps we can borrow some innovative thinking from Venezuala, Cuba, the former USSR or go to the history books to learn from the Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party. They are/were all "innovators". You'll say no fair, the NAZI's were fascist. True and so is the socialism that you preach.

Never thought I'd see the day when socialists would openly avow their screwball, anti-liberty, failed ideas on public forums. But why not? They teach the same thing in colleges don't they?

WOW... What a point of view.... Your "side" is getting increasingly "venomous" and extreme in reaction to viewpoints that do not match yours...

Believe it or not I derived my opinion from life, I only have a two year associates degree... A worker, up from the bottom. Yes, my viewpoint is purely mine, no individual or group has "told" me how to think...

Life experiences, living in America, spending time in Canada, and a great number of years in northern Europe/Scandinavia.. Matter of fact my employer was Scandinavian... I feel very very comfortable with understanding how things work their compared to here...

I will say in my mind, I see your "side" to have the traits of fascists,!!!!! The propaganda of the USSR, and the hard rule of dictatorships in Cuba, or Venezuela also..

Some of America's greatest institutions, and achievements are and were "socialism" at work. Honestly I see more "freedom" and fairness for the common working man or woman in Northern Europe/Scandinavia than here...

Your "kind" seems to rather want a monarchy, and seem to like being oppressed by the elite class...

Liberty... What a *&%$^& joke, I bet you are a supporter of the "patriot act" Yes?????? By supporting the Patriot act, you handed over more liberty to goverment than any single time in American history...

DO not talk to me about Liberty...

I do not support the Patriot Act. One of Bush's many mistakes. But I would support rounding up socialists and deporting them. Let's see - to North Korea would work. Except they wouldn't have you.

'Nuff said. Hopeless to make any sense with avowed socialists and other radicals.

What of your Senators and house members that voted for it.???? Nope the only Senator in the country that opposed it was a darn "Socialist"

Yep things like speeding tickets based on income a horrible thing... Make $50K a year, pay $50.. Make $5million a year pay $5000 for that same ticket.. A .0001% of income in either case... The same penalty for either individual..=socialism

Instead of complaining and whining about crime, gangs, immigrants, bad schools, while at the same time complaining about high real estate costs, as everyone tries to pack into "desirable areas" to escape the low class.......To me it is much more humane, and logical, to raise the standard of the lower class through education, health care, fair practices and jobs that pay a living wage.. Fair practices can be had like in the example above. Effectively "taking back" the vast tracts of "uninhabitable" cities in California, lowering real estate prices by taking pressure off certain areas....

I believe we agree on one thing... What we are doing now could be improved on... We can not just keep spending money we do not have, giving it to the lazy and/or the the elite greedy... We currently have a system that hurts the middle.. With budget, and deficit issues that prove, it is getting increasingly difficult to squeeze blood out of a turnip (middle class)..

Don't pander to the wealthy and elite politicians and their cronies..

California runs out of money regularly. Not just the early borrowing against tax revenues, but completely out of money. They just issue IOUs. So far, the banks will cash the IOU's because the State pays a modest interest fee on them. Modest, but better than many other safe investments these days. I even got an IOU for a tax return a while back. The funny thing is that when I asked to apply it to some back taxes that we owed, they said no. They wanted us to pay the back taxes and cash the IOU later when they had money. Since we were on a payment plan, I just waited.

The stat is in a desperate situation. They fall further and further short every year. At one time, they were in danger of having their bond rating degraded. If that happens, then when they borrow money, they have to pay more interest and things get worse. They have to majorly cut spending, but they just cannot do it. Spending to Sacramento is like crack to an addict. They know they should cut back, but they simply cannot.

Don't talk as if those Northern European oh tries are ideal..

I have people I know in Sweden and trust me, living over there may be good on paper, but in reality the it really sucks living in NE/Scandavia.. They can't even purchased a bicycle without regulations, paying all these taxes etc.. They get random inspections of their properties to see what possession they have that are "Un-claimed".. And the government taxes them on all their possessions..

Things like that are thankfully unheard in America

Coming from an American-born ethnic Swede who keeps in regular contact with family members who live in Stockholm, Karlstadt, Uppsala, etc. this has little resemblance to reality.

FTR, if I went to the Wal-Mart in Pico Rivera at 4.48am, right now, and bought a cheapo, crummy bike to pedal tediously back to LA, I'd pay something like $30 sales tax on it.

Keep in mind when I say this, I am quite proud to be an American who has next to no anticipation of leaving this great state, let alone this great country
