No, it isn't losing ground. It simply isn't growing as fast ... it's not going negative.
And your comparison to your savings account is not relational.

So many negatives to dwell on -- so little time.
Can't rep ya! Ive done it too many times. LOL

Anyway, try as they may they will never delegitimize the fact that 120,000 people in Los Angeles were not employed on Nov 30, 2010 found a job in the next 12-month period.

120,000 families whose life improved by some measure---that's noteworthy regardless as to what anyone says.

Give it a rest haters, this is one comeback no obstructionist republicans can derail.

Indeed it is sickening when some folks political preference out weighs positive news...

You know, there are a few folks on the forum that seem to enjoy my posts ... and some who don't. The ones who do seem to be California-lovers ... the ones who don't are California-haters and doomsayers. Which group would a guy rather hang out with?

Party at nullgeo's van on the beach! ... gays, straights, whites, blacks, Mexicans -- legal or illegal -- all welcome .. just bring a good, positive attitude to contribute

Well, you're dealing with a set of people whose ideal for America closely resembles the Turner Diaries.

There is a subsection of society that is mercifully quite, quite small, and in the "real world," very quiet as well, who have found sanctity in the relative anonymity of the internet who would like nothing more than to see the world around them descend into the sort of chaos that would allow them to take a gun and start indescriminately and without any reflection start blowing away all the people who they believe are "against" or "out to get" them. A more recent and disturbing mutation of this violent paranoia defines these people as "responsible" for societal ills; to me, the shift from anger towards a perceived outright aggression, to a perceived ignorant complacency, is quite alarming since the latter basically encompasses everyone around you.

Instead of celebrating growth and optimism in what is the most populous and (arguably) influential state in the US - the success of the United States of America, of their countrymen and women, the triumph of the entrepeneur and worker to push forward and work for a better tomorrow... they can only view the world outside of their crushingly-oppressive, failed or failing, and inconsequential lives through a prism made of bile, jealousy, and hatred. They rue the day that they have to confront a reality in which their faith in fatalism and the failure of their fellow man to do anything in even the remote orbit of what is "right" when confronted with adversity is proven to be a self-serving barometer of their own, personal failures and shortcomings.

Not to get all Rand Paul on anyone, but... it ain't my fault your life sucks I currently live in Beverly Hills. I drove here from Boston in '02 with less than a grand in my bank account. I was residing houses three years ago so that I had gas money to get to job interviews. If I can do it, then so can you

These numbers are stupid. If you are going to use gross numbers and not percentages then I'll bet that California also has the greatest number of drunk drivers, child molesters, wife beaters and rapists.

Got to use percentages. Unless you just want to spread lies.

The numbers are "stupid"?? ... tell that to the 120,000 people who found jobs last year.

And what in god's name is the relationship between drunk drivers, child molesters, wife beaters -- and 120,000 people finding work in the L.A. area?
Just saying.

You need to understand simple math and percentages. Things lost in California's dismal edcucation system.

Because of California's immense size it ranks high in lots of things. New job formation may look good based on gross numbers instead of more accurate percentages. By using that twisted logic Califonia also ranks high in people committed to asylums. Hope there is space for a few more libs.

Don't bother. He doesn't understand math or analogies. He thinks someone earning 0.10% APR in a savings account is coming out ahead because the balance is growing.
