I think what you are intending to say is you are not a true Portuguese till you participated,,,,,

A tradition of "thousands" is a speck on the fingernail of CA population.
37.3 million CA residents

Wow, in that case I will check it out for sure. Same as Ceece, I would like to see it before even the bloodless one gets prohibited.

Look, if you're not a true Californian stop making excuses and get your sorry arse to a bullfight this year!

Just kidding. A little light-hearted jesting. Peace.

I saw a forcado gored in the neck once. Had to be airlifted to a hospital. It's serious business. The best fights are when the bull charges, the matadors hop over the wall just in the nick of time, and the bull locks a piece of the wall onto his horns.

How come only men participate in bullfights? Where are the women?

Catholic sexism, what do you expect. Not to mention euro-centrism and speciesism. Men torturing innocent animals for fun. This shouldn't be legal and it probably isn't.

It is legal. Get over it.

Good point. I'm an avowed carnivore, but I don't play with my food before I slaughter it. The poor bull probably thought those men were just being friendly/playful.

Amen!

And to the poster who said "get over it." Lucky for us and the bulls, we don't HAVE to get over it. We can make a change. The same way other laws have been changed.
