Default SoCal a bad move for below-average looking early 30s guy w/ money?

I'm a very average or below average looking guy, not particularly on the attractive side, not worked out. I am the type you might more often find in SF or NYC. I am a successful internet entrepreneur and I make over 300k per year. This figure would likely grow over the coming years. In addition I am diversified with my investments, with partially ownership in several commercial properties.

I am considering a move to LA or OC for a change of scenery. I would be relocating from NYC. My concern is what kind of dating prospects would a below average looking self made guy like myself find in SoCal. The women I date in NYC are very average looking themselves. And to be honest the money I make here is nothing special compared to many wall street types so its hard to know how that figures in to my success or lack thereof with women. So is there a place for average looking guys in LA/OC? What should I expect?

There are millions of people here. I don't see a problem. Sure, there are plenty of people that are image conscious, but with the sheer number of people here there really shouldn't be a problem

The OC is a pretty blah place to live but I can't deny that the women there are babes and the guys often look like movie stars. I just moved to Long Beach and people here are really goofy looking by comparison, I like LB a lot but there's definitely a lower pretty people quotient here.

There's definitely a place-don't worry about it at all! LA has 8 million people in the metro area, last I checked. They are not all 'hot'. Though, yes, proportionally so cal as a whole has a higher percentage of pretty people, it is not a requirement to 'get in'....(: Just live your life as you want, and enjoy CA! You'll find what you want.....IMO [and I am female] Good luck!

Alright thanks this is basically what I figured but its hard to know what's up without spending substantial time in a place. Sure I have visited but its hard to get a feel from that.

Heyyyyyyyyyy ... well, unless you're referring to your $300k annual salary.
