If by "skip a beat" you mean fall in love, then yes I agree. Less crime, less worry, more human. Whats not to love?

Arizona and Nevada have been mentioned, but when these leftists move to a Northern Rockies state things are even worse. The first time they see a dead buck in the bed of a pickup they get hysterical or even physically ill, much to the amusement and contempt of the locals. It is when these leftists then attempt to impose their belief in hunting bans and strict gun control that things get nasty, and make them wish that they had stayed in California.
When I see a buck someone bagged I'm thinking "anything I could barter for some jerky?"

Perhaps you should confine yourself to the SF Peninsula for your health.

I could think of worse areas to be confined too. But I like the weather of southern Cal more. Besides, I'm more of a Los Angeles/Hollywood type of person. My machoness comes out in my ability to survive in the dog eat dog concrete jungle.

I'm at a loss to think of any of my neighbors who DON"T own guns. Thankfully my bi-polar next door neighbor doesn't.

Default how do ex-Californians adapt to the gun culture of neighboring states

I don't see that there should be a problem, but for those who think otherwise they can move elsewhere.

Not at all difficult if you're raised in the military by an avid gun collector, shoot on rifle and pistol teams, serve in the military and spend time in law enforcement.

Even if you don't, people adapt.

Are you aware that those jurisdictions that have respect for the Bill of Rights, 2nd Amendment, most specifically, have vastly-lower violent crime rates? Accordingly, you shouldn't get all twisted up when you see the owners of the USA, aka "citizens", exercising their rights, including open or concealed carry, to Keep and Bear Arms.

We lived in San Francisco, my dad liked to duck, pheasant and deer hunt, we had guns in the house (and all of us knew how to use them). I don't like to hunt anymore (that was my dad and older brother's big thing - I just tagged along), but I do have a legal, licensed handgun in my home and know how to use it quite well. I'm not the only person in this town that does. Stereotypes die hard though.

Uh, you can open carry in California. But most Californians do it because they aren't passive aggressive douchey cowboys who like showing off and intimidating people for no reason.
