Default "Let us in, let us in" and "No cuts, no fees, education should be free."

I have lived in Florida all my life (72 years). Can someone explain why a working person would live in your state. I don't how much the state must take from you to pay for the kind of attitude that I read about in our papers here all the time. Where do they think(?) the money comes from?

My Way News - Students angry over pricey courses pepper-sprayed

Quote:
Students have been upset over a new plan that involves the formation of a nonprofit foundation which would offer core courses for about $600 each, or about $200 per unit - about four times the current price. The program is designed to cope with rising student demand as state funds dwindle. The move has raised questions about whether it would create two tiers of students in a system designed to make education accessible to everyone and whether it's even legal under state education law.
Yes well there is a little bit more going on than "attitude" here.

"No cuts, no fees, education should be free."

It should be, at the state level. A well-educated population is a productive population.

To address your question, I can't imagine living anywhere else, warts and all. I especially can't imagine living in Florida. I had my fill of the hot, humid, buggy South back in my military years.

In theory, yes. In reality, the taxpayer funded universities churn out a lot of graduates who could easily do their job without a college degree. We should only pay for degrees that have value in the job market.

In theory we should pay for any course of study and not waste billions supporting illegals (county/state level) or trillions funding useless "wars" (fed level), but good luck on that.

In Florida, one does not live, they simply exist.
