What's next? Do they ban baseball games? Think of all those cars polluting while on their way to the game. And ban cooking Thanksgiving turkey? Gotta be a lot of pollution (and global warming) coming from all those turkeys cooking on Thanksgiving.

Come to think of it we could just ban all American traditions. We're supposed to be a world community anyway aren't we?

Honestly, I'm sure grilling is on the list of things to ban.

Hey! Here's an idea! How about we ban whiners next!?

Reduce the population by culling out the worst PITA's?
Sounds like a win-win to me

Here's a better idea. Dump those who are a drag on society. If you don't pay taxes you don't vote. That should disqualify almost half of California voters. Let those who shoulder the load make the decisons.

As an environmentalist in my own way and knowing nature and animals, I will be one of the first to say that this has no real foundation. Loud noises do not disturb animals, they disturb people. Animals live outside and deal with thunderstorms. Sure they are startled at first but do adapt. The only impact fireworks could have is the debris left over if not cleaned up. Our country has shot of fireworks since it's beginning and at no point has anyone declared an extinction due to fireworks. Whether you're liberal or conservative, any sensible person can see this is irresponsible.

While this is sad, I will say as someone has to watch the air quality that fire works do affect it. It's difficult to stand near the fireworks set off on the street because of the gunpowder.

I know it's hard to care about sensitive populations, but there is some background to it.
