Stockton went from 11.25 to 12.2% from 2000-2010. Every other large city lost in percentage.

Fresno's black population grew by 14% in the last decade (about 5K people). Percentage wise its 8.3% in 2010 vs. 8.4% in 2000. For all intents and purposes that .1% means its unchanged.

The Bay Area proper's loss is Stockton's gain, to an extent. Same deal with Sacto, Fresno, etc.

Similar results have occurred in SoCal as traditionally black areas in south central LA and some southeastern suburbs have turned into Mexican and other latino culture suburbs. Some of the nicer middle class/upper working class areas like Lakewood and such have grown in their black population as well as various areas in the Inland Empire.

Slight increase but still insignificant in the overall racial make up of the city.

The more relative numbers to the cities demographics are the 8% increase in Latinos and 6% decrease in Whites.

Interesting given the fact that the 2010 census specifically states Latino and Hispanic are not considered races but then demographics report it as such.
