Today, the world finally got to see security footage of Fullerton police officers beating Kelly Thomas to death, a case that has sparked worldwide outrage.

The video--complete with Thomas pleading for his life--is after the jump. WARNING: Not for the faint of heart, but something that every Orange County resident should see, to remind themselves of what happens when a police force is out of control.

How about when the police give you an order you obey it? Is that too much to ask? This scumbag struggled against several policemen. What do you cop-haters expect them to do? I wouldn't do the work of a police officer and deal with this scum for a million bucks a year. Neither would you. But you'll be hollering for a policeman when some slime ball like this is breaking into your house in the middle of the night.

The difficult job that police do nationwide - for the most part in a very professional manner - does not excuse the murderous brutality of a couple of bad eggs. The victim was a mentally ill man with family who cared about him, not a "scumbag", "scum" or "slime ball". Look at the pics of the trial. Look at his dad - hardly riff-raff. I'm usually a strong supporter of law enforcement but when a couple of unprofessional cretins bludgeon an unarmed, mentally ill man to death I draw the line. A difficult and usually thankless job doesn't excuse that.
