Back in the day, people came from the Rust Belt with nothing, to CA, to make their last stand, so to speak.

Now, they leave here for places like AK.

It's truly sad, but maybe he shouldn't have placed his hope on that job. Maybe he shouldn't have been released. Maybe, just maybe, he should have not given up hope here in California. Ah well, Captain Hindsight has to go...

Sounds like someone who thought reality TV is real. I can't imagine if he had gotten a job on a boat being that unstable.
