Big deal. It's one lousy month. For all we know the data for both stats will be revised down the line, as often happens.

Gotta love confirmation biases. When bad news is just from "one lousy mouth" its strong evidence of the end of the world, but when news points to the upside there is an endless supply of excuses.

Right.

Either that or they are government jobs which are not intended to advance the communities, but the government.

Here is an important question:

How many of these jobs were for PRIVATE companies not involved or contracted with the USGov? That is the question to answer. Like I've said before, creating jobs is not enlarging the government.

You revived a two year old thread to tell everyone you have no idea how an economy works?

Facts to consider.

California has had a big number of new jobs. California unemployment rate has declined.

At the same time the labor force (total employment) is declining.

California Economy at a Glance

Also note:

Manufacturing a critical measure of economic health--has decline against a year ago every month for the past 6 months.

Financial Activities, another critical measure--has declined every month against a year ago for the past 6 months.

Another chart a little more complicated, shows which industries have improved, and which ones have declined. Keep clicking next, to get to the total truth.

Headline news the other day, is 10% of all jobs in California are held by illegal aliens. If the state cracked down on illegals and those that employed illegals California would solve it's unemployment problem. Instead the present California administration is encouraging even more of them to move to California.

The way that the total labor force in California is declining, and the out migration of people from California keeps exceeding the in migration from other states, it indicates that the solid middle class families are fleeing from California, following the manufacturing and other good jobs that are leaving the state.

Job creation in this recovery has been largely in low paid jobs. California just hired a lot of people, but remember tourist season has opened full swing, and that always mean hiring a lot of people for those low pay jobs. Many of them have been taken up by illegals.
