I signed a 6 month lease in Santa Barbara, 2 months before it ended I got married to a man in the Air Force and I moved on base which is an hour north of my rental house. I continued on paying my $1,125/ a month portion of the rent and now it is 2 days before my lease is up and my old roommate told me the new tenants have already moved in there stuff into my room. Is there anything I can do about this? Be reinbursted for the days I paid for that the new tenants were there? My husband and I have to go there tonight to clean the place for my security deposit. I just find it very rude for the manager of the condo (who lives upstairs) to allow the new tenants to move in while still having me pay my half of rent while im on the lease making me legally obligated to pay for any damages while the new tenants are there. Not only that but tonight my husband and I are going there to clean and my old roommate whom i shared the condo with who was also on the lease wants to hire a maid and not help clean herself. What should I do about that too? Any answers would be GREAT!!!

No........No, most rentals are run by creeps. Just do not waste your energy on such a small issue.

As long as they do not keep your damage deposit be happy.
