Many people in California and in LA are living California do to it is very hard to find job. Yes even the illegal immigrants working for dirt pay are having very hard time finding a job.

Blame the feds not California for the US in such problem.
Very few people are affected by the state budget crisis. Some people are leaving, which is a good thing, I encourage it, but for those who don't leave, well, I picked up a box at a local farm yesterday, fresh peaches, fresh apricots, large tasty strawberries, string beans, lettuce, avocados, that is from one farm, and those boxes are availabe, year round....

I rode my horse on a pleasant mountain trail winding above a lake with windsurfers, wake boarders, a couple of sailboats.

Along the trail through the oaks I saw a bobcat, hundreds of different sorts of water birds from Great Blue Herons to Snowy Egrets, to Mergansers, coots, and other birds I could not identify, all capped off with a young Bald Eagle perched in a snag at the waters edge that flew off as I approached, very cool. Cant't forget the flocks of turkeys either, and the spot where a turkey was taken, feathers all over the place, my horse snorting and crow hopping. I imagine it was a lion kill.

The heat was intense, must have gotten up to 80 degrees out there, a good ten degrees warmer than at my house closer to the coast.

Outside my door are acres of Zuchini, planted over a few month, and harvest on an almost daily basis for the past 6 weeks, and will produce till late fall.

Next week, my horse and I will be at 9,000 feet in the Sierra, in the land of granite peaks, rushing rivers, golden trout, and about 5 hours away.

California; not a bad place to hangout, if you like the out of doors, if you aren't an out of doors person, any town in the country is about the same.

Last weekend I rode my Mt bike down a trail that is a snow ski run in the winter. In the afternoon I grabbed my surf board and hit some decent break. What a beautiful sunset with the sun sizzling into the edge of the Pacific. There aren't many places in the world to do that.

In the fall I regularly fish in the Ocean and hunt in the Mts, sometimes in the same day.

Who cares if you don't want to live in California? If Florida and Miami are so great, then put on your cheerleader custom and go out and stand along I95 and do a cheer, give me a "F", give me a "L" and you can fill in the rest, what does it spell? Then toss in a little "Tebowing".
