It's raining right now and we're supposed to get more rain over the next week or so, so it's possible we'll have a wet spring and a hopefully wet winter.
True! My drought thread seems to have died from lack of interest. Here is the latest snowpack report:

Hoping for an April miracle (and a May miracle, and a June miracle).
Interesting numbers here. I believe these are up to date.

The number for Boonville looks suspicious, though... have they really only gotten 4 inches of rain since 7/1? Ukiah has had 18 and Willits, 32.

Opportunities for additional rain this month seem pretty sparse. The jet is way up north right now. The jet will possibly weakly dip next week but that is way out there. Based on recent years, a Siberia Express could still set up very late in the season and we could get systems coming straight down from the North clear up to (and beyond) the Solstice. But those systems tend to be quite moisture starved.

Here's to the next (2014 - 2015) water year and let's all pray to our favorite higher order being / The Universe for a rootin' tootin' El Nino next season.

Rainy season is off to a poor start. After a couple of beautiful monsoonal bouts in July and August (we even got thunderstorms here in Orange County ), the only rain we saw in Southern California this fall was late on Halloween.

I heard that you guys in the Bay Area are faring better; can you share your rain with us?

Default What drought?

Pretty good amount of rain here in Humboldt County. The last few days we received 5.75"! The creek running through our place is raging but headed for the Pacific. Sorry!
