Lots of loud clouds this morning a bit of rain with them but not enough, we have about 25 working fires in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties caused by lightning. biggest about 50 acres most of them in the 1 to 2 acre range. Amazing to watch the temps go from 74 to 89 in an hour after the band moved through and the sun came out.

First hint of Fall this past weekend, which means it was hot and bone-dry. Fri & Sat topped out at 108 with 3% RH and 29° DP. It was like a breath of fresh air after the sticky monsoonal crap. Four fingers needed bandaging from the little cracks, but that's a small price to pay. No NE winds, though.

It sure feels like we've broken some records on the number of 100+ degree days this year...

That 103 for Sunday ended up being 107. A hot finish to a very hot month. (110 was our high for Sept)

The wine grape harvest is going great in the valley this year with all this sun.

Yep I'm over near Geary and Masonic, a normally cold part of the city and it's flirting with 90.
