In today's fiscal climate of multi billion dollar deficits it just might be. In any case let's hope that the funds cannot be raided for other purposes and must be used for parks. No spendthrift politcian to get a greedy gleam in his eye and tap the money for their latest pork project.

There was no public access when I lived there, good to see a state park there now. We used to do Anthro field trips into the ranch, back in the olden days.

(spoiler alert) It isn't really the worlds smallest mountain range, but actually the southern most projection of the Cascade Range. An eroded lava dome.
I like to have a bit of fun with it as well. I also like to tell people it is a mountain range in the middle of a valley. People have difficulty accepting that.

I've read different reports regarding the springs in the range suggesting the springs are a result of hydrostatic pressure in the basin to the north. Nothing I've read has mentioned anything about measuring the mineralization of the water that would give us some verification of the origins.

View from Table Mtn north of Oroville.

This is California, you know better than that. Is there anything that Brown hasn't been willing to raid to help cover deficits? Oh wait, union pensions. This money is already spent.
