Good news from the Board of Supervisors:

"
Butte County's Board of Supervisors today voted 3-2 to have staff draft a new medical marijuana growing ordinance that would be more restrictive than the one voted down in the June primary election. Chico Supervisor Larry Wahl moved to have an ordinance drafted based on Kings County's ordinance, which only allows indoor medical marijuana grows."

Nice to see they're not giving up. I hope they have the stomach for the fight. Measure A was defeated largely because there wasn't a campaign behind it. That's got to change if this next measure is going to have a chance. Frankly, it's getting to the point where public supporters of restrictions on marijuana growing risk being the targets of violence themselves. It's time to act before the dope-profiteers end up controlling all elections in this county.

It beings tears to me eyes to think that there are so many people in CA doing their best to make sure people get the medication they need Take notice Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline. West West Virginia (aka the Northern third of CA) is the place to set up shop. Wouldn't it be nice to have your pharmaceutical companies staffed with people who care so much about medicine? Just make sure there are plenty of munchies in the break room and no sharp objects that could hurt anyone.

Hmm. Speaking of Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline. We have pot, at the very least relatively benign, on the one hand -- whether silly or not -- and it's illegal. And then we have big pharmaceuticals, raping the world's wallets, creating mostly toxic medicines to meet every designer condition (many "conditions" designed BY the pharmaceutical companies to create markets for their unnecessary, toxic medicines), and poisoning the environment with the wastes discarded through manufacture, biological eliminations, and simple discard (generally by flushing into our water systems) each leaving measurable amounts of these toxic products in rivers and streams and reservoirs and oceans.

And which industry is reviled -- which industry is held as savior?

No, I don't smoke pot. Can't stand it. Even think getting stoned is stupid behavior. But don't take pharmaceuticals either -- and think they're even dumber. Neither one are any path to health in the vast majority of cases and conditions. But get real.

Oh I realized weren't advocating for them ... it was just a soapbox opportunity ... hate to let those go by without foaming it up a bit

My head slap and "get real" weren't aimed at you -- just the OP
