Where would your dream home be?
Just curious as to where people's dream homes would be. You can list as many as you'd like.
I would want a place in Westwood/Brentwood area, Silverlake, or Lake Mission Viejo as my main home. One in Mammoth Lakes for the winter. A vacation home in Hawaii. A penthouse in NYC. If I won the lottery or became a millionaire, I would buy at least two of those places.

Carmel by the Sea for the rain, fog, and general coziness. And South OC to raise a family, teach good values, in a clean, safe, beautiful area with good people in general.
Marin isn't too bad either except that the politics up there would drive me bananas!
I also have some strange liking for Carlsbad. For some reason, every time I visit it feels like home, like in New England. I know it's some type of aberration. I'm not really sure why I like it, but I do...

Somewhere with affordable housing, sunny weather, minimal traffic, lots of jobs, excellent schools, low crime, and minimal social problems.

Charles,
Where are the jobs in that area? Are there any large cities nearby that would have jobs or is it close to Denver? Really pretty area. Colorado is a beautiful state and the skiing is world class.

Blackhawk for me. San Ramon and Brentwood seems nice. The way the housing market is right now Brentwood is fairly affordable.
