Red face Bakersfield Research Grandma's House

Hey everyone, I am a CA native now living in WV and considering coming back. Many of my family members lived in Bakersfield at one time or another. My Grandmother on my mother's side we always called her Grandma Cronk. Cronk being her last name. Well, she lived across the street from what I believe was a high school and died many years ago, my mother has also passed away and I have no contact with others who would be able to help me. I loved the neighborhood she lived in and the house. Ok, now this is going way back.

The house was a late 60 - early 70's home, across the street from the school, there was an alley behind it, no front entrance garages in the neighborhood. I believe it may have been on Planz but not sure, does anyone have pictures of this area of town? Can you tell me what it is like now?
Can someone help me locate the area?

Planz Rd is a pretty long road. I can drive it today and check to see if there is a school there. I believe there is but I am not sure. The area around Planz has seen quite abit of changes. It is not the best area but not the worst. A lot of lower income families in that area. Not saying that is a bad thing. I live about a few miles away and have to go through parts of planz on my way home from work so I can check it out if you would like. Can you remember anything else? Color of the house, fenced yard, homes next door??

Smile Grandma's House

Hi Mark,

This is the address of the high school near your Grandmother's home: 1101 Planz Road, Bakersfield, CA 93304

If you go to Google Maps, it will give you a map of the surrounding streets and even a street view of the addresses you type in.

Hope this helps. Have a fantastic day!

Ciao,
Wendy
