This thread is meandering a bit so I just wanted to ask if you are keeping up with Nullgeo? Haven't seen his posts for a bit and I'm hoping it's because he's moving around, taking a break or something like that.
I may not be all that bright! I do trust Jeffers, as a mustang he spent his first 4 years in the wild, he survived that, and has an excellent sense of survival, which, can account for some of his butt ness, but it also makes him trustworthy. It was hard to get good photos of the trail we used last week, it was a steep and objectively dangerous trail, I spent most of my time keeping the mule I led from rubbing Jeffer's butt Abby the mule was in love, but Jeff did not appreciate the attention. As old experienced Los Padres National Forest riders say, if you can ride the Los Padres, you can ride anywhere...

I hear from Nullgeo, he is out having fun, sending me and other interesting factoids off the internet, mostly making fun of those folks he like to make fun of. Below is a photo, taken in the Los Padres, one thing I can say about the Forest, we see a heck of a lot of these.

He was overmoderated, if you know what I mean.

Are those bear tracks??? As always, thank you for sharing your photos, reminds me to get out there again. Also, thank you for the Nully update. Thought all was well but when I don't see his posts for awhile, I start to wonder what's up - I know he has several different spots to park his van (plus any other place he stumbles across) and eveyone needs a break!

Yes, those are bear tracks. Bears are pretty common in the Coast Range, I generally see sign of them whenever I go out. A couple of times I have seen tracks here on the ranch, although lion tracks are more common here.

I just checked the BFRO site and doesn't appear there've been any Sasquatch sightings in your neck of the woods. Not to say there aren't some around there.

No Sasquatch, just wine tourists from Los Angeles careening around in their little cars half drunk...
