The Best- and Worst-Run States in America - Yahoo! Finance

The naysayers will say that it doesn't matter. They will tell us that they would never live in any of the well-run states anyway. When will they wise up? Just because CA has great weather and geography does that mean we must accept having our state rate at the bottom every time we are compared to the rest of the country?

Do you dispute the methodology in how they did the ratings? Is it fair?

CALIFORNIA is the richest and most powerful state in the United States of America...bar none.....

That's because what makes him most happy is mule pack camping. California's public land position is superb for .highnlite. Not so much for other people.

Wrong, as I pointed out in another post, wilderness recreation is a $38 billion dollar a year industry in America, of course, concentrated in the West, hardly "Not so much for other people".

And Mule packing is just one arrow in the quiver, lots more arrows.

I have a huge desert on my doorstep that I just love to use for dry camping. So many places to go where other bipedal lifeforms won't be encountered. I find it extremely convenient, and all I need is my lil ole F-150.

In between me and that desert are a couple of real, Western U.S. style mountain ranges (translation: high elevations) with many options for recreating.

I don't own any mules.

To add to this, just over one of the bridges where I current live (Richmond-San Rafael) I have access to some of the most beautiful and extensive redwood forest. Complete with camp grounds which of course one pays for. Not far from there I have a national sea shore and a state Beach. There's also a national monument I believe. It's run by the national park service. I'm perplexed at the number of people I see using areas that according to certain people on C-D aren't useful to many.

So what?

It still; has very high unemployment, extremely high COL, the most welfare/poor of any State and a dysfunctional Gov't.

Highest poverty rate in the U.S :
Capitol Alert: California's poverty rate highest in U.S. by new federal measure
I guess that high COL/high tax money goes far in California...

Yo Dawg ! I make $250,000 a year but my rent is $10,000 a month. That relativity.
We used to play this game in monopoly where we would hand out lots of money and watch the prices of everything soar. It was an interested experiment.. You just end up paying 4x as much for everything and the extra money means relatively nothing.

Haven't been logged on for over 4 months. I'd say it's been a great move. I see you haven't skipped a beat in your usual #nothing. Good to see . Applying your logic to yourself.. Well, whatever...

Flattering ... Not able to respond on topic so resort to attack the messenger. I see absolutely nothing has changed. Cheers
