Just another one of those sneaky taxes that few know about, yet contribute to the cost of living and doing business in Taxifornia.

Taxifornia
somebody did not do their homework if they think taxes 3.6% higher than the lowest taxed state in the Union makes it intolerable,, but, I do notice that the entity known as Escape California, hasn't. Something is keeping him here.

Would you mind showing us the source and the calculation for your claim that CA taxes are only 3.6% higher than the lowest taxed state? Your claim does not pass the smell test.

As a wise man once said: "If you torture statistics enough they will confess to anything". Let's see where this 3.6% comes from.

Do you eat? Then the illegals support you.

Since it took me less than two minutes to find the data, the project is not that onerous, rather than state something does not pass the smell test, check it out yourself.

That's funny, I looked too and couldn't find the data you're referencing.

I did find lots of other data pointing to very negative economic trends like the following from two weeks ago;

Quote:
Best and Worst Run States:

50. California

> Debt per capita: $4,008 (18th highest)
> Budget deficit: 20.7% (17th largest)
> Unemployment: 11.7% (2nd highest)
> Median household income: $57,287 (10th highest)
> Pct. below poverty line: 16.6% (18th highest)

California is 24/7 Wall St.’s “Worst Run State” for the second year in a row.

I set up a separate thread to go over this crazy 3.6% math. But I don't expect the willfully ignorant to acknowledge it.

I can't find that data either. But I did find data about how much illegal aliens cost California tax payers.

Lets not forget with the passing of Prop 30 that CA has the highest marginal income tax rate of all 50 states.

Even if the 3.6% thing is true, you have to factor in the indirect costs of buying anything in CA which are astronomically high.

Oh well, gotta punish the "rich". Meanwhile close to 50% of Americans pay NO* income tax and somehow there's nothing wrong with that.
