This could be a good thing. Pay phones are almost impossible to find these days, and it's hard to find a job without some sort of phone service.

250 minutes per month only works out to about 8 and a half minutes a day. Not much time for job hunting. Hopefully they'll be able to upgrade to a better plan by paying the difference.

Read the link that I posted and you will find that there are 3 plans.

Available Plans from Reachout Wireless in California

There are three plans available to those who qualify for Lifeline in California (see below). These plans are also available from Reachout Wireless to non-Lifeline customers at rates that are $13.50 per month higher across the board, which is something to consider if you don’t qualify.
  • 250 Minutes for $2.50
  • 500 Minutes for $5.00
  • 1000 Minutes for $20.00

one of the curious things about the last two elections. Traditional pollsters called land lines, with a high percentage of older white folk. The Republicans believed those polls.

The Dem pollsters went for cell phones, they got the younger and non traditionals.

One of the reasons Romney thought he would win, is that he and his did not keep up with the changes in technology.

This should be a great deal for drug dealers. They don't report their income, so they should qualify. What about the illegals? Will there be enough phones for them?

Huh, illegals put your food on your table, in order to do that they work, having cellphones is handy for job calls, do you have a problem with that?

If someone were poor why would they spend most of there out and about? It’s kind of like when paper food stamps went to EBT cards. It’s just more normalizing of liberal freebies.

If I had it my way the phones would be neon green and twice a large as a regular phone. I would do the same with food stamps make them the size of a legal pad.

A good stink eye goes a long way.

25 wonderful degrees in Fargo today, with a predicted high of 32.

Food stamps, by the way are an Ag price support program. That is why it is administered by Dept. of Ag, all those good Republican farmers in Dakota benefit from food stamps.

And yes, proofreading is a handy thing to do.
