FICO to move headquarters to San Jose
FICO moves headquarters to San Jose - SiliconValley.com

Quote:
"SAN JOSE -- FICO, the company that invented the credit score, is moving its headquarters from Minneapolis to San Jose to be closer to Silicon Valley's engineering talent pool.

Company spokeswoman Kate Blatt confirmed the move Thursday. The company already has 90 people in San Jose.

The move is another testimonial to the drawing power of the valley's expanding base of companies involved in cloud computing and "big data" -- the analysis of large troves of data collected by computers. There's a brisk competition for employees skilled in those fields.

"With the big boom around big data analytics and a significant talent pool in Silicon Valley, this is really a great place to be headquartered," Blatt said."

A sign the U.S. is coming out of an employment recession is when employers move to where their employees want to live.

If this is the market that best suits their company, why wouldn't they move here? This is where we keep Silicon Valley.

Good to hear. I wonder what their footprint will. I do know they already had offices in SD and San Rafael. I wonder if they'll keep San Rafael.

America's Top States for Job Creation 2012

Even CNBC says California was #2 in job creation in 2012 and it's average jobs were much higher paying then Texas which got #1 in job creation numbers but mostly via very low paying jobs.

Nice thread to counter the doom and gloom anti California crowd- most of them not even from the state and are motivated by what? Jealousy? Why do they care?
